Position Overview

We’re looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Account Representative to join our State Farm agency team in Encinitas

This is a relationship-first position focused on exceptional customer service, customer retention, and building long-term relationships with our policyholders. You’ll be one of the primary points of contact for our customers, helping them navigate their insurance, answering questions, solving problems, and making sure they feel valued and taken care of.

If you genuinely enjoy helping people, communicating with customers, and finding solutions, you may be a great fit for our team.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for existing State Farm customers
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with policyholders
  • Provide exceptional customer service by phone, text, email, and in-person
  • Answer questions about policies, billing, coverage, claims, and account changes
  • Proactively reach out to customers to strengthen relationships and improve retention
  • Identify opportunities to help customers better understand their insurance needs
  • Handle customer concerns professionally and work toward positive resolutions
  • Follow up with customers to make sure their questions and concerns have been fully addressed
  • Help customers navigate life changes that may affect their insurance
  • Maintain accurate customer information and documentation
  • Work closely with the agency team to ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience
The Person We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is great with people and takes pride in taking care of customers.

The ideal candidate is:

  • Friendly, personable, and genuinely enjoys helping others
  • An excellent communicator who can make customers feel heard and understood
  • Patient and professional, especially when dealing with difficult situations
  • Organized and able to manage multiple customer needs at once
  • Proactive rather than simply waiting for customers to call
  • Comfortable having conversations about insurance and financial protection
  • Confident asking questions and identifying ways we can better serve customers
  • Motivated by customer satisfaction and long-term relationships
  • A dependable team player who takes ownership of their work
  • Comfortable learning and using technology and customer-management systems
What Success Looks Like

Success in this role isn't simply measured by how many calls you answer.

Success means customers want to stay with us because they know we take care of them.

You'll be successful when customers:

  • Feel confident that their insurance is being handled properly
  • Know who to contact when they need help
  • Feel valued and appreciated by our agency
  • Understand their coverage and why it matters
  • Trust our team enough to continue doing business with us and refer their friends and family
Experience

Insurance experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.

Customer service, hospitality, banking, retail, sales, or other relationship-based experience can translate very well into this position.

A current California Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health insurance license is preferred, or you must be willing and able to obtain the required licensing.

Why Join Our Team?

You’ll be joining an agency where taking care of people comes first.

We believe customers should receive more than a policy number and a premium quote. They should have a team they can rely on when they need help.

If you’re someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and making a genuine difference in a customer’s experience, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today and tell us why you’d be a great fit for our team.
Compensation: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
